Kenzo Capsule Collection

Our first project set for second year, was collaboration project. Here we were placed in groups (one person from each specialism) to create a capsule collection for a brand of our choice. We decided to use Kenzo as our designer, creating menswear for fall/winter 2014.

As a communication student, I decided to focus my input for the collection on the ad campaign, season book, invite and swing tag.

As our inspiration for this collection was natural disasters, focussing on volcanic eruptions combined with traditional Japanese tarot card artwork, Ukiyoe.

Continuing on from Kenzo's collaboration with Toiletpaper Magazine, I wanted to give the essence of surrealism. Using our inspirations as a starting point, I have clashed each element as distantly as possible, portraying the season's mood.
