When Love Saved the Day!

One of the best time of the year, (unreliable) hot weather and day festivals! On Saturday I went to Love Saves the Day with a group of my friends - quite sad as it was a bit of a send off for us all for summer! Despite that, we had an amazing time, got to see the likes of Bondax, Shy FX and Bonobo!

For this delightful day, I decided to go abit over the top.. 80s dance video styley. I a pair of shiny, grape coloured, running shorts with rolled up cycling shorts underneath ( as the running shorts are a tad short), with a black baggy t-shirt and to top it all off a black bum bag! Oh, and Converse on the feet just because I didn't want to ruin my trainers! And what makes it even better, my sister, Hannah and I decided to buy the most atrocious pair of sunglasses and floral head bands, just to get us in the festival spirit!

All day drinking in the sun could not have been better, here are a few pictures from the day...

Test Shoot

It feels like ages since i've posted but i've been enjoying my freedom from uni! Found out my grades from my magazine project and professional practice in which I both received a 1st, so happy with myself!!!!! I have literally been doing nothing besides sleeping and online shopping, which sounds pretty sad, but i've bought a few things to wear for Love Saves the Day on Saturday. I've treated myself to a bright red Vans beanie hat and a bum bag from ebay - definitely won't be wearing this on a day to day basis but is vital for a festival as i lose everything! Aaaah, so excited for Saturday!

Anyhow, a few days ago I had a test shoot with another model called Emma at Rococo's Garden in Painswick. Here we were shooting for Cotswold Style magazine which we will feature in July. The garments we were wearing were crazy! Imagine fishing nets, Alice in Wonderland, Genies and farm yard animals... sounds weird, but the costumes were amazing and were created by a variety of local designers, students and teenagers. Rococo's Garden itself was insane, such a beautiful place and a definite must see, it was like something from The Secret Garden movie.

I got speaking to the co-ordinators of ACP (Art Couture Painswick) and they seemed pretty interested in me helping out over summer, organising and curating a museum they are planning on opening, which would be so good!

Here are a few pictures from the day... outrageous make up and beautiful locations.

Scribbling

Good evening! Hope you've all had a lovely day, despite the return of the great British weather! I have literally spent the whole day in my pyjamas drawing everything... But it's all good, I have finished my sketchbook ready for Monday morning marking! Just thought I'd share a few illustrations from today, these sketches are of friends, family and strangers in locations from Berlin to Paris to my back garden! Take a look, hope you like them.

MONSTER AND PIERRE

Good Afternoon lovely people, hope you're all enjoying the sun and have the barbecues out! I am doing exactly that, however I cannot enjoy it completely as I have lots of work to do before Monday... how depressing.
Yesterday i did some modelling yesterday for an up and coming jewellery brand called Monster and Pierre. The creator of the brand, Sophie Webster, has made some amazing geometric necklaces and earrings priced from £115 to £360. She only has a few pieces at the moment but they are absolutely stunning, and she's currently working on another collection (YAY!). Take a look at the pieces which are currently for sale!

I'll post the pictures when Sophie sends them my way!
