BERLIN!

Haven't posted in a few days, literally been so busy trying to see everything in Berlin (it's a bloody big place you know!) We spent the first day exploring and shopping in Kurfurstendamm, our hotel was situated right next to the equivalent of Oxford Street (which was amazing), purchased a black fitted, mesh, long sleeved top and a black net jumper (both from COS). Discovered a store which I had never heard of called '& other stories', there is one on Regent Street in London, but being a bit of a country bumpkin I don't get much but the ordinary American Apparel, Urban Outfitters etc.. Anyhow, the sister bought a pair of delightful blue round sunglasses from there! I found so much stuff I wanted but was slightly out of my price range.. so i resorted to a pair of gold half hoop earrings, which look bloody lovely. After a long day of shopping, we took a stroll around one of Berlin's numerous parks, which was glorious in the sunshine! And to top it all off, we ate at The Hard Rock Cafe, just around the corner followed by a few drinks, then a few more...

Day 2 and slightly hungover, we resorted to a 2 day pass to hop on and off the tour bus! Here we saw all the obvious touristy sights - we climbed what felt like a million steps to the top of the Victory Tower, but was worth it for the beautiful views! We then drove past Check Point Charlie, saw the remainders of the Berlin Wall and had a little sketchbook drawing session on the bus. We then traipsed the 'Stokes Croft' equivalent of Berlin in the 25 degree heat to find VOO Store, which was AMAZING, industrial interior, wooden floors and benches.. sadly everything was out of my price range, but was well worth the visit. An early night was in order after all the sight seeing, so we ate in the Italian next door and were asleep by 10!

The 3rd and final full day, we visited 2 galleries, ME and CFA.. both were really interested, featuring the work of The Chapman Brothers and Sam Taylor-Wood. We then had the best Indonesian meal in Mitte, which was €10 for both of us to eat! Followed by a spot of Vintage Shopping around the north then returning to Kurfurstendamm to shop some more.

Day 4, we checked out at 7am and were back in the UK by noon, it was simply the best sister holiday and birthday present I could ask for.

I wanted to photograph everything, so here they are...
